Clinical Research Glaucoma
Glaucoma is a very heterogeneous group of eye diseases which, if left untreated, can lead to complete blindness of one or both eyes. The reduction of intraocular pressure is the only proven effective therapy to stop the gradual progression of the disease. Within our research projects we are investigating the efficacy of different drug and surgical interventions, and improving imaging techniques for diagnosis and follow-up of glaucoma.
